 The Randy O. Civic & Leadership Excellence Award honors students who reflect those same values — integrity, compassion, and a commitment to community.

The Randy Okrzesik Civic and Leadership Excellence Award will be presented annually to District 10 eighth-grade students who exemplify Randy’s defining qualities: genuine kindness, unwavering  dedication to supporting others, a strong commitment to community involvement, and exceptional  mentorship.
This award not only honors Randy’s extraordinary service, but also creates meaningful opportunities for students to grow in civic responsibility and leadership. It ensures that his legacy lives on-serving as a lasting reminder of the compassion, excellence, and presence he brought to our community each and every day.

As a family, we are deeply grateful and truly moved to learn that a new Student Civic Leadership and Excellence Award will be established in Randy’s name. It is an incredible honor to see his memory recognized in a way that reflects the values he lived every day – kindness, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his students.
Knowing that this award will inspire and celebrate young people who embody those same qualities means more to our family than words can express. It is a beautiful tribute that ensures his impact will continue to guide and uplift future generations, We are sincerely thankful for this meaningful recognition and for keeping his legacy alive in such a purposeful way.
As a result, our family would like to support this award through financial contributions, hosting a basketball camp, and organizing a Poker fundraiser.
